2018 HFU Course Catalog for H-F Community Schools
District 233 welcomes administrators and teachers from our foundation districts to take
part in Homewood-Flossmoor University (HFU) course offerings, at no charge, when the
courses have not been filled by H-F staff members. Professional Development Hours are
offered.
Professional Development at Homewood-Flossmoor
Rationale
High-quality professional development is central to the District 233 Mission Statement, which begins, “The
quality of each student’s life improves through the educational experience at Homewood-Flossmoor High
School.” In order to provide the best possible educational experience for each student, we H-F staff members
continually strive to expand our knowledge and skills in the effort to enhance our effectiveness as educators.
Professional development opportunities offered through Homewood-Flossmoor High School target the
following:

Expand educator expertise;
Promote a culture of continuous learning and positive change; and
Enhance staff leadership capacity.

The HFU registration form can be accessed from the community homepage at www.hfhighschool.org Please
fill out the form electronically, and mark the “send form” checkbox at the bottom. You will receive an
electronic confirmation of your registration submission, and your name will be added to the course
registration waiting list. By May 31, 2018, you will receive final confirmation of your registration via email.
