Insurance:
Whilst Police Sport UK provides Insurance cover for competitor’s taking part in Official
Championships, (Details available on their website), all competitor’s are reminded that it is
their responsibility to make sure that they have adequate cover, whilst participating in Clay
Pigeon Shooting Events.

Have a Go Stand:
Will once again be located on the Bottom layout near to the Bungalow.

The Caesar Guerini Cup will be awarded to the Competitor who scores the Highest Score
over the 2 days and Daily Donated prizes will hopefully be awarded.

It is hoped that all teams/Individuals will support this side event, even if it is just for fun
amongst yourselves.

Any profit made from this stand goes towards the running of the Inter Services Team, on a
yearly basis.

BIb Numbers:
All Competitor’s are reminded that their Individual Bib Number should be attached to their
Clothing, so that it is visible to Referee’s and other competitor’s whilst on a shooting Stand.

Referee’s will be allowed to prevent any competitor from shooting a stand if the Bib Number is not
worn.

2021 National Championships:

Eligibility:

The Police Sport U.K. Clay Pigeon Shooting Section National Championships will be staged as in
previous year’s, however Force Secretaries are asked to complete the entry forms for each
competitor in the proposed Shooting Order for their teams and Individuals in Composite
Squads, please mark each category that applies to each competitor (by entering the relevant
details in each box). All Shooter’s must comply with National/Local Guidelines in relation to
Covid-19 Whilst at the Championship’s.

Gender:

Please indicate whether the competitor is Male or Female.

Status:

Serving = Serving Police Officer or Serving Special Constable, Serving Civilian Support Staff, or
Community Support Officer, Paid Cadet.

Retired = Retired Police Officer or Retired Civilian Support Staff as above, Special Constable’s
who have received their long service medal and then retired from service.

Retired Officer’s who are employed by any Force after Retirement on a Pension, will be placed
in the Serving Category, for the duration of the event, however if the Officer is employed by a
different Force from their pensionable Force, and does not contribute to that new Force Sports
Association, then they can opt to enter for their pensionable Force, as a Retired officer.

Novice:

Is a Competitor who has never won an Individual, or Team Medal, at a Previous National
Championship or represented their Country in the International Fixtures or the National PSUK
Shooting Team at any Official Fixture.

Novices can now be Serving or Retired Personnel.

All Competitors must know the rules of each discipline entered, failure to do so will be
viewed seriously and may lead to disqualification from the Championships.

(This is the Force Secretary’s responsibility to make sure each shooter is confident to
compete at this level).

A Copy of the rules appertaining to the Championships will be held by each Force Clay
Pigeon Shooting Section Secretary, they are available on the PSUK website.

EVENTS:
Tuesday 31st August 2021: East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground, Beverley:

Practice will be available at the East Yorkshire Shooting Ground, DTL and Skeet
Layouts will be made available to Competitors from 11-30am onwards, at an
approximate cost of £7-50 per 25 targets.

Wednesday 1st September 2021: East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground, Beverley:

100 English Sporting for Individuals and Force Teams of 5 shooters, All competitors will be
squadded in squads of 5 shooters from different Forces where possible.

Squad Times will be available from the National Secretary 1 week prior to the event.

Thursday 2nd September 2021: East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground, Beverley:

50 English Skeet for Individuals and Force Teams of 5 shooters, the squad times will be
available at the ground on the practice day.

The Section Annual General Meeting, will take place once shooting has been completed,
all Force’s are requested to have a representative at this meeting.

Friday 3rd September 2021: East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground, Beverley:

50 English Skeet for Individuals and Force Teams of 5 shooters, the squad times will be
available at the ground on the practice day.

7-30pm: Presentation Dinner, University of Hull :

Trophies won to date will be presented. A Hot Dinner has been arranged with a Bar Extension.
It is hoped that all competitors will attend. Dress is Lounge suits/Blazer & Smart trousers.

Cost of Meal: Approximately £TBA per person.

Saturday 4th September 2021: East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground, Beverley:

100 Down The Line for Individuals and Force Teams of 5 Shooters, to be shot in 4 x 25 Target
Stages. The draw for shooting times will be available on the practice day.

At the conclusion of shooting the presentation of the remaining trophies will take place.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Home International Championships will be shot on the respective days, in conjunction with
the main event. The teams will be nominated and handed to the National Secretary, before
Shooting commences on Wednesday 1st September 2021.

Cartridges:

As the event is run under CPSA rules, cartridges must be factory loaded, with no more than
28grams of shot, the Maximum shot size being no bigger than 6.0, as per the ground rules

(Competitors cannot use Steel shot, for this Championships, any shooter found using this
type of ammunition will be disqualified, from the Championships).

ACCOMODATION:

Sections, are advised to sort out Accommodation, in the Area, at least 2 months in advance of the
competition, as Hotel bookings at this time of the year, are in great demand.

This year accommodation is available at the University of Hull, In the Courtyard Building, which
is a New Complex, details are available on the booking form attached.

Caravan Parking :

There is a limited amount of space for caravans at East Yorkshire Shooting Ground.

Tents:

May be sited on the grassed area, behind the clubhouse or near to ‘A’ -‘F’ Layouts only.

(Dogs are not permitted near to the shooting layouts).

Bed & Breakfast and Presentation Dinner information
Accommodation is offered within our on campus accommodation, The Courtyard.

Each flat consists of eight bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with large 4ft beds and modern,
light interiors. You'll find ample storage with a good size single wardrobe, under bed storage
and plenty of shelving and cupboards. There's also a study space with desk and office chair
where you can take advantage of your free WiFi. There are lifts to access all upper floors.

Shared kitchen facilities in each flat provide a dining space along with soft seating and large
screen televisions.

Towels and toiletries are provided in all bathrooms and our team of housekeeping staff will
service rooms on a daily basis.

A Full English Breakfast is included in the rate. This is served between 8.00am and 9.00am in
The Pantry, Canham Turner, a two minute walk from the accommodation.

The Reception Desk is open 24 hours a day for the issue of room keys.

There are a number of restaurants, bars and public houses in the area serving evening meals –
further details can be obtained from the reception desk in The Courtyard.
