It is a pleasure to welcome you to our Great Neck North Middle School family. For the next three
years you will have the opportunity to join us in a unique partnership dedicated to the goal of assuring
that your child will achieve her or his fullest potential.
We provide a balanced, comprehensive and success-oriented curriculum in a sensitive, caring and
supportive learning environment. Everything we offer – academic subjects, exploratory periods,
extra-curricular clubs, teaming, special days and activities – is developed around learning, growth,
and service. Our program will ensure a successful transition from the self-contained classroom
structure of the elementary school to the departmentalized structure of the high school, while
providing team support and direction in your child’s transition from late childhood to adolescence.
Tonight’s Parent Orientation program provides valuable information to help you join with us in
making your child’s years at Great Neck North Middle School successful and rewarding. We look
