Thanks to all the parents, friends and families who shopped at Woolworths and sent their stickers in to our school. The students and teachers will enjoy utilising the games, garden equipment, maths resources, technology equipment and 2 AR Merge cubes within our K- 6 classrooms. Message from the Principal… Dear Parents & Carers, Thank you to the parents who were able to attend the Meet the Teacher sessions last week. We received some very positive feedback. We will collate the surveys you completed for what you would like to learn more about this year and start planning our workshops. Watch the newsletter for more information on this! This year we have made a slight change to our reporting & parent teacher interview process. While reports will continue to be sent out at the end of Term 2 & 4, parent teacher interviews will be held at the end of Term 1. These will be three way interviews, involving teacher, parents/carers and student. To facilitate this three way process we will commence this process in Week 9, with meetings for students requiring PLPs. These meetings will serve the dual purpose of writing the PLP & discussing your child’s progress with the teacher. Where appropriate students will attend all or part of these meetings so they are able to contribute. Interviews for all other students will be held in Weeks 10 and 11. More information will be provided as we get closer to the end of the term. Finally, I would like to congratulate our Instructional leader Ms Toni Johnson on accepting the relieving principal position at Krambach PS for the remainder of 2020. This is a tremendous opportunity for Ms Johnson and I am sure she will embrace her new role with the same positivity and enthusiasm she has shown over the past three years as our Instructional Leader. We wish her all the very best in her new role. Students, staff and parents from Nabiac are going to miss her. In the coming weeks plans will be made to fill the Instructional Leader position here at Nabiac PS for the rest of this year. Have a great week Narelle Kessey. Principal.

Envelopes were sent home last week with every student. Sibling envelopes are available at the office.
Parents, please return the envelope/s to school by Friday 13th March. Payment can be made on line or cash
in the envelope.
Canteen Volunteers
Parents and Carers please check out our canteen roster and let me know if you are able to volunteer on any
of the days highlighted. We are looking for new helpers to join our list of volunteers. As Friday is our busiest
day, we require three volunteers in the canteen. The third person however, could leave early. This may open
opportunity to help out, every little bit helps. Fridays seem to be the hardest day to fill, closely followed by
Thursdays. Kids LOVE seeing their mum or dad in the canteen so please, just volunteer once and you never
know you might even have a laugh and enjoy yourself. Not to mention the free lunch for volunteers!
Toys at School
We would prefer that children not bring toys from home, but if they do, they are responsible for looking after
them as part of their personal belongings. The school is not responsible for any loss or damage.
School Clean up day
Friday we will be participating in the School Clean up day. You may send your child to school with gloves to
protect their hands.
Canberra Excursion
Parents of Year 5 & 6 students, please return the expression of interest note to indicate if your child will be
attending. We need to finalise numbers as soon as possible. Parents may start making part payments toward
camp whilst waiting for an exact figure.
