We shared feedback about our experience during our monthly ASPN Public Policy Committee meeting, and it was exciting to hear about the existing support for the Living Donor Protection Act. We have a long road ahead, but we have an unbridled optimism that we will make this legislation a reality. I am thankful for the opportunity to join the JELF Advocacy Scholars program. I am excited to continue to learn from my JELF family and other kidney advocates. We are meeting again next month to discuss the results of the November election and how it may impact our advocacy for our patients.
