                               through to your destination?
Crash data only tells one side
of the story, and we want to hear from Denver residents where
they think our streets can be made safer.

Denver residents and visitors are encouraged to visit
denvergov.org/visionzero to take the map-based survey,
select the location of their feedback, and add it to the map
before April 30, 2017. Responses from the Vision Zero map-
based survey will be used collectively by the city’s Vision Zero
Technical Advisory Committee to identify patterns in behav-

STREET SWEEPING
Spring is here, and soon, the street sweepers will be too!
Denver’s residential street sweeping season begins Tuesday,
April 4 and lasts until November. Denver Public Works is re-
minding residents to remember to move their vehicles on their
street sweeping day, so crews can sweep all the way to the
curb line and provide the best service possible! Denver’s street
sweeping program removes dirt and debris off the streets, so it
stays out of our air and water.

Residents are urged to follow the red and white signs posted
on the block for street sweeping parking restrictions to avoid
getting a ticket. Even if it appears a sweeper has cleaned the
street, it’s still important to not park during
the restricted times posted, as the sweep-
er may need to return to the area to make
                    another pass.

There’s no better way to spend Arbor Day than planting a tree.
The Park People’s Denver Digs Trees program makes it afford-
able and fun through its Arbor Day Fruit and Yard Tree Sale,
Saturday, April 15, 12-2:00 p.m. Trees purchased at this annual
sale not only will beautify Denver’s urban forest, the numerous
fruit varieties also add to Denver’s edible landscape and pro-
mote food equality.

The sale is open to everyone, regardless of where they
live. Trees available include: Stanley Plum, Reliance Peach,
Montmorency Cherry, Honeycrisp Apple, Cleveland Select
Flowering Pear, Hot Wings Tatarian Maple, and a variety of
medium to large shade trees. All trees purchased must be
planted on private property. Species are available in limited
quantities and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
