The great thing about the body is that it is constantly adapting to its
environment. For the time you spend with me we will be working on helping
your body adapt to become better.
The primary focus of my coaching will be on movement, concentrating on all
the areas you need to get you through your days safely and pushing further
to see what your body is capable of achieving.
Should you wish, we will also dip into aspects of making you even more
healthy by following the principle of move well, eat well, think well, sleep
well.
Whether it's looking into your sleep hygiene, delving into a diet plan, cold
and heat exposure, meditation and breathing techniques to better manage
stress just to name a few.

Hamworthy Recreation Football Club was formed in 1948 as Hamworthy Engineering FC and
played on the Sports Ground opposite the factory at Fleetsbridge in Poole (where the Tesco
supermarket now stands).
When the site at Fleetsbridge was sold to Tesco in the late 1980’s the football, along with the
Sports & Social Club, moved to its current home at Magna Road, Canford Magna. At that time
‘Hamworthy Engineering FC’ were playing in the Bournemouth League (Division 1). The Club
won the Bournemouth Senior Cup in the 1988-89 season, and after winning the Division One
Championship in 1990/91 ‘The Rec’ successfully applied to join the Dorset Combination
League for season 92/93 when they finished 3rd.
Success soon followed when the Club won a hattrick of Combination League Championships
in 1993-94, 1994-95 and 1995-96.
‘The Rec’ have lifted the League Championship Trophy on another eight occasions, 2000/01,
2001/02, 2004/05, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2014/15, 2017/18 and 2018/19.
The Club have won the League Cup on five occasions - 2000/01,2006/07, 2007/08, 2013/14 &
2014/15.
’The Rec’ consider that their greatest achievement was in 1995, when not only did they win
the League Championship, they also won the Dorset Senior Cup, defeating Weymouth
Football Club from the Southern League by 3 goals to nil at Magna Road in the Semi-Final, and
Poole Town FC, another Southern League team, 4 - 1 in the Final.
The 2001-01 season saw the Club change its name to Hamworthy Recreation FC to reflect the
name of their current headquarters.

Bournemouth Premier Division (old Div 1). They have had their ups and downs (as most
reserve teams do) but remained competitive in League and Cups. 2019/20 saw the Reserves
move over to the Dorset Leagues as it was felt that the Bournemouth Prem was getting less
competitive.DORSET PREMIER LEAGUE 2020/21 Team Photos

24.10.20. League. Ham Rec 3 Blandford Utd 2 Abandoned after 61 minutes.
For the first time in recent memory Rec had a game abandoned at Magna
Road, because of the weather. The match was evenly poised when, on the
hour, rain of biblical proportions came down for fifteen minutes. The referee
took the teams off for ten minutes, but following an inspection, it was deemed
unplayable.
Rec started brightly without going too close to a goal. Ash Boyt was unlucky
with a thunderous shot crashing against the bar, following a good interchange
with George Webb. But on 22 minutes Rec went in front. GEORGE WEBB
played a short corner to brother John, received the ball back, cut in and drilled
a glorious shot high into the roof of the net, to put Rec one up. Carl Edwards
almost doubled the lead when he burst into the box, but his effort was beaten
away by Ford, in the visiting goal.
But Rec’s lead was short-lived when on 27 minutes a mistake in the home
defence let Blandford in for a well taken equaliser - 1-1.
Rec had a goal disallowed for offside and the Royals saw a free-kick go just
over, before Rec regained the lead on 37 minutes. EDWARDS was in the right
place to stab his shot past Ford, to make it 2-1. Todd Coombs saw his free-kick
go narrowly wide and then his long-range shot was saved by Ford. HT 2-1.
Rec got off to a perfect start to the second period when, in the first minute,
SAM THOMPSON was on hand to head home from close-range, to make it
three.
Blandford were still looking very capable and reduced the arrears on 52
minutes with a great left-footed finish from the edge of the area, into the top
corner and things could have been level, but for a timely defensive block by
Dave Legg.
Call Us Today on 07825 445 080 But on the hour the heavens opened forcing the abandonment, much to the
disappointment of a large crowd, looking forward to what should have been a
keenly fought final thirty minutes.Dorset Senior Trophy

Player of the month September
BCS Hamworthy Recreation U18s
announced their Player of the Month
Award for September and this was
awarded to Zhibo Chen.
He has put in some exceptional
performances throughout the month
(and Pre Season). Well done Zhibo!BCS HAM REC U18 v SHOLING U18
18/10/2020 - 2pm Kick off
A very disciplined and ruthlessly clinical performance from our U18s saw us run out 9-1
winners against a very capable Sholing side.
Sholing were last year’s U16 Sunday Hants Cup winners so we prepared for a tough game
but our performance was simply a level above.
Despite starting quite slow, we organised ourselves very well across the pitch to keep the
door shut on Sholing who started the brighter. However, after 15 minutes we came to life
and got back to our usual game of pressing the ball with intensity and showing a real desire
to knock the ball about, waiting for the right time to break the lines.
We never quite reached our best but found ourselves in a comfortable 4-0 lead at Half Time
after pouncing on mistakes and some real quality on the ball.
The game was buried but the lads stuck to the task and hit the net 5 further times in the
second half before conceding a late consolation in the dying seconds. The telling factor of
this goal was the lads were gutted to lose out on a clean sheet and that’s a very positive
sign as to the levels they wish to conduct themselves at.
Hats off to the boys, they have been a pleasure to coach this seasons. They graft as a team
to get their rewards and this should stand us in good stead as we progress towards tough
fixtures in the coming weeks.
Side: Birtwistle, Chen, Coombes (Purnell), Doe (Todd-House), Lister, Musendo (Morgan),
Fowler, Davies (Claydon), Kelly, Smith, Fisher.
Goals - Joe Smith 3, Ed Fisher 2, Ajay Coombes 2, Jake Kelly, Euan Todd-House.
