Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble
and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. He will cut off
the chariot from Ephraim and the war-horse from Jerusalem; and the
                              battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall command peace to the nations;
his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends
of the earth. As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with
you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to your
stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you

The Gospel John 12:12-16

Gospeler The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to John.
People Glory to you, Lord Christ.

The next day the great crowd that had come to the festival heard that
Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees
and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who
comes in the name of the Lord— the King of Israel!” Jesus found a young
donkey and sat on it; as it is written: “Do not be afraid, daughter of Zion.
Look, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!” His disciples did
not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then
they remembered that these things had been written of him and had been
                  done to him.

Gospeler The Gospel of the Lord.

For us and for our salvation
                     he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
                     and was made man.
                   For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.

The Great Thanksgiving: Eucharistic Prayer A

It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give
thanks to you, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. For our sins he was lifted high upon the
cross, that he might draw the whole world to himself; and, by his suffering
and death, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who put their
                  trust in him.

Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with Angels and Archangels and
with all the company of heaven, who for ever sing this hymn to proclaim
                  the glory of your Name:

Hymn S 129 Sanctus and Benedictus Robert Powell

Holy and gracious Father: In your infinite love you made us for yourself, Kneeling
and, when we had fallen into sin and become subject to evil and death, you,
in your mercy, sent Jesus Christ, your only and eternal Son, to share our
human nature, to live and die as one of us, to reconcile us to you, the God
and Father of all.

He stretched out his arms upon the cross, and offered himself, in obedience
to your will, a perfect sacrifice for the whole world.

On the night he was handed over to suffering and death, our Lord Jesus At the following words concerning
the bread, the Celebrant is to hold
Christ took bread; and when he had given thanks to you, he broke it, and it, or lay a hand upon it; and at
gave it to his disciples, and said, “Take, eat: This is my Body, which is given the words concerning the cup, to
hold or place a hand upon the cup
for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.” and any other vessel containing
                                                                                  wine to be consecrated.
After supper he took the cup of wine; and when he had given thanks, he
gave it to them, and said, “Drink this, all of you: This is my Blood of the
new Covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of
sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.”

Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith:

Christ has died. Celebrant and People
Christ is risen.
Christ will come again.

We celebrate the memorial of our redemption, O Father, in this sacrifice of The Celebrant continues
praise and thanksgiving. Recalling his death, resurrection, and ascension,
we offer you these gifts.

Sanctify them by your Holy Spirit to be for your people the Body and
Blood of your Son, the holy food and drink of new and unending life in
him. Sanctify us also that we may faithfully receive this holy Sacrament,
and serve you in unity, constancy, and peace; and at the last day bring us
with all your saints into the joy of your eternal kingdom.

All this we ask through your Son Jesus Christ: By him, and with him, and Chanted by the Celebrant
in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit all honor and glory is yours,
Almighty Father, now and for ever. AMEN.

And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, we are bold to say,

                                                                                                                 10

Give us this day our daily bread.
                                           And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
                                             but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,

TRIADS & SPIRITUAL GROWTH
         ENNE AGR A M INTENSIV E E A S TER OFFERING
               Tuesdays, April 6 - 27 | 3:00 PM CT | Zoom

To grow spiritually we must be willing to look
at ourselves honestly and truly know ourselves.
Enneagram work helps us to recognize and name our
ways of operating in the world, in ways that are both
attractive and unattractive. Many of our habitual ways of
engaging in life are explainable by our Enneagram Triad
                                 – Gut, Heart or Head. In this class we’ll use our Triads as
the starting point for engaging our spiritual work.

Completion of The Enneagram Journey class is required

IN-PERSON WORSHIP (LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE)
We extend a warm welcome to all those who are attending worship services in person! Here are a few
guidelines that will make your time with us safer and more enjoyable.

In-person worship continues April 11 at 9 AM CT (Traditional) and 11 AM CT (Contemporary). Reserve
1 ticket per person (up to 5), beginning at 10 AM CT every Monday: saintmichael.org/worshiptickets.
Consecrated wafers are available during the Distribution of Communion at 12:15 p.m.

Although we have returned to in-person worship on most Sunday mornings, we will not have in-
person attendance in the morning on April 4. However, in-person attendance will be permitted at
outdoor services on Palm Sunday afternoon, Easter early morning, and Easter afternoon.

Livestreams and video recordings of our weekly services continue to be the way that most people
participate in worship. Visit saintmichael.org/live to tune in.

  WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

While state guidelines may be changing, diocesan guidelines remain the same:

      • Masks are required (ages 2+)

      • Maintain at least six feet distance from everyone not living in your household

      • No shaking hands, hugs, or any physical contact with people outside your household

      • No physical passing of the peace (although eye contact and a wave is encouraged)

      • No congregational singing (unless outdoors)

      • No passing of the offering plate (you may give as you leave or online at saintmichael.org/give)

      • Leave the building immediately after worship ends and socialize outdoors

Sunday services are offered live, streamed, and on-demand, at 9 AM CT, 11 AM CT, and 8 PM CT (online only).
