General Information
2018 Ontario Cup #4 is Dam ‘Cross at the infamous Pittock Dam in Woodstock, ON. Located only one
hour west of Toronto, Dam ‘Cross will challenge racers with a technical course across grass, gravel,
pavement, our flyover and of course, sand.

Early Bird Registration (ending Oct. 11 @ 11:59pm) $20 + fees $35 + fees
1 Week from event (closing Oct. 18 @ 11:59pm) $30 + fees $45 + fees
Day of Pricing - CASH $40 cash $60 cash
“+ fees” refers to HST and CCN Administration fees
$15 day-of cash only for a “second race of the day” (ie single speed)!
Pre-registration will be available at CCN Bikes. Pre-registration closes Thursday, October 18th at
11:59pm.
Save $10 by pre-registering for both maD ‘Cross and Dam ‘Cross at the same time on CCN!
Sign in and timing chips will be available up to 30 min prior to race time starting at 8:00am and closing
40 minutes prior to the start of the last race.

Please ensure you ask for a second timing chip for your pit bike.

Event Rules
The races will be held under the rules of the UCI/CCA with OCA modifications. Find CCA/OCA rules online at
http://www.ontariocycling.org/events-organizers/commissaires/
The UCI penalty scale with CCA/OCA modifications will apply.
All riders must sign on at registration at least 30 minutes before their scheduled start time.
Registration will open at 8:00am and remain open until 40 minutes prior to the start of the last race.
Call-up order will be determined by the Chief Commissaire.
Races will start promptly at the indicated start times.
If the U23 Women's category has fewer than 5 entrants, the OCA reserves the right to move and combine these
riders into the Elite category, in which case no separate results are made for U23 Women.
If the U23 Men's category has fewer than 5 entrants, the OCA reserves the right to move and combine these
riders into the Elite category, in which case no separate results are made for U23 Men.
Warming up on course while races are going on is prohibited. As the lead rider crosses the finish line at the end
of their race, riders will be advised when they may enter the course for warm-up from the start finish line ONLY.
Riders must not interfere with racers completing their last lap. Please be courteous to other racers at all times.
Cyclo-cross bicycles conforming to UCI regulations are required for all categories, with the exception of
U13/U15/U17 categories and single speed.
For the Single Speed and U13/U15/U17 categories any bicycle (i.e. mountain bike) is permitted provided bar
ends are removed.
Riders must wear a jersey corresponding to the club/team on their license. Independent riders must wear a
plain jersey with no significant logos.
Helmet mounted cameras are not permitted.
No neutral support will be provided.
Feeding is not permitted. Water bottles are permitted on spare bicycles.
Riders must supply their own spare wheels and bicycles. All service and equipment changes must take place in
the pit area.
Any rider dropping out of the race shall immediately notify a commissaire. If you drop out of a race and do not
report it to a commissaire you will be considered an Unreported DNF and will be assessed a penalty.
A double pit is located on course for servicing equipment and changing bikes or wheels. The pit must be
accessed by the designated entrances and riders may not travel backwards or cut the course to reach the
entrance with the exception of a mishap occurring AFTER the pit entrance but BEFORE the pit exit (travel
backwards to pit entrance in this case)
Lapped riders may be pulled at the order of the commissaires, either after being overtaken or just before being
overtaken.
All riders finish on the same lap as the winner.
The 80% rule may be enforced at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire.
The prize list will be displayed at registration and is subject to change based on field size.
In case of lightning, the race may be delayed or cancelled. If you are informed that the race has been
stopped due to lightning, you are advised to seek shelter until the race can resume. No refunds if the
race is cancelled.
